Created in 1952 by the Ministerial Association of Mount Holly, the Community Relief Organization has been a central place for neighbors in need for over seven decades. We are now the primary provider of emergency assistance in Mount Holly. In 2023, we served over 7,000 individuals from Mount Holly and surrounding areas, distributing over 220,000 lbs of food and $118,000 in rent and utility assistance.
We are a 501(c)(3) tax exempt partner of Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina and two local Food Lion grocery stores. Daily operations are run by a team of over 50 volunteers. In addition, we are supported by individual donors, local businesses, and the following Faith Based Partners:
